About the Meta-Project Integration through Education

Tasks and Objectives

The Meta-Project on Migration, Integration and Participation in Education supports the projects funded under the ESF Plus programme Integration through Education through a dialogical and participatory approach while also addressing overarching research questions. It produces research syntheses that take different national contexts into account. The overarching objective is to identify resource- and strengths-oriented conditions for success and to integrate them into a comprehensive understanding of effective approaches to diversity and the empowerment of girls and women with a migration background.

Through innovative formats, successful practices and enabling conditions are collected, synthesized, and consolidated. The meta-project also supports knowledge transfer activities through continuous dialogue between research and practice. Findings from practice-oriented research and transfer processes are discussed and further developed with stakeholders through innovative and participatory formats of science communication.

The meta-project is advised by an international advisory board. In addition, Dr. Cornelia Schu, Managing Director of the Expert Council on Integration and Migration, provides strategic advice and guidance to the project.
